Tara N. Howe
Tara N. Howe, LCSW-QS, CCTP is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Qualified Supervisor and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional.
Tara earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Minnesota State University, Mankato and holds a Master of Social Work degree from Florida Gulf Coast University. In addition, she is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) trained therapist and has completed the Clinician Awareness Program through the Florida Firefighters Safety and Health Collaborative. She has a strong background in acute settings such as Psychiatric Hospitals, Emergency Departments, ICUs and Trauma Center. Her expertise also expands to the First and Secondary Responder community.
Tara brings an integrated approach to mental health. The body’s neurophysiological response is at the heart of her practice. She works with adults and couples to understand the connection between stress and trauma, the body’s autonomic nervous system and how it affects behavior. More importantly, how to heal. Specialized interventions such as EMDR, NET in addition to cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness and person-centered modalities are incorporated into her practice.
